Allison Shelnut
Allison Shelnut (she/her/hers) holds a BA in Sociology/Criminology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an MS in Nonprofit Management and Organizational Development from The New School. She's a proud first-generation college graduate. She has served nonprofit organizations for over 10 years. From administration, program development, and fundraising at the Y to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at ACLU National. Allison is a natural leader with facilitation, coaching, and curriculum development experience. Allison is skilled in implementing change initiatives, program assessment and design, and training development and delivery. SheÕs passionate about criminal legal system reform, harm reduction, and youth development. Allison is driven by a desire to cultivate workplace cultures conducive to both individual wellness and organizational success. Originally from Southeast Guilford County (just outside of Greensboro, NC) and currently located in the mountains of Western North Carolina, AllisonÕs sense of place and belonging is grounded in the U.S. South.
