Tuition

The tuition is $8,500. This includes all four sessions, books, materials, pod meetings, coaching sessions, and certification.

An application with a $500 non-refundable deposit is required for consideration in the program. We will return your deposit promptly if your application is not accepted. Payment plans are available and are described in the application.

The prerequisites for applying

The most common way to fulfill the prerequisite is the two-day Coaching to Excellence (CTE) class that is available in different cities around the country. It gives you an opportunity to get to know us and us an opportunity to know you. It also provides an important grounding in the foundations of Integral Coaching.

In 2003, we began offering the three-day Integral Coaching Principles (ICP) class designed for experienced coaches. This class also satisfies the prerequisite for the PCC.

If you decide to apply to the PCC, we will ask your CTE or ICP instructor to endorse your application.

What the application process is like

We review and accept applications on a first-come, first-served basis. We select applicants whom we feel have the greatest chance of success in the program and whom we consider likely to contribute to a developmental community.

In order to hold a space for you in the class, we require that you give us a completed application including the essays, a photograph of you, and a $500 deposit. You can send the application by mail or fax.

We review the application and give you a response within 10 days, often sooner.

The application itself involves writing a series of short essays about your interest in coaching, what you would like to do after finishing the program, and how you see yourself developing as a human being. Our intent in asking these questions is two-fold:

  1. To gain a better understanding of who you are (or, more accurately: your perspective of who you are) and your interest in participating in a rigorous program that involves, among other things, attention to your own personal development.
  2. To invite you to begin the process of making assessments of your own competence in multiple streams of development.

When to submit your application

Again, we review applications on a first-come, first-served basis. Historically, nearly every PCC has filled to capacity (20 students). Often, it fills months in advance. Sometimes, it appears that there are many open slots and then suddenly a flurry of applications appears within a day or two. These things are hard to predict.

Because of this, we make the same recommendation to everyone.

As soon as you decide that you definitely want to apply, send us your application. You will have the best chance of admission into the class you want by submitting your application early.

The kind of photograph we are looking for

We ask for a 2" by 2" headshot (e.g. a passport photo).

The only people who see your photograph are the course leaders and our staff. We use it to connect your face to your name, particularly when speaking with you by telephone.

Thus, it isn't important that this photograph be the best one ever taken of you. What matters are that (a) it looks like you (b) we can clearly see your face.

Pre-course assignment

There is a pre-course writing assignment that involves describing what you will offer as a coach, who your potential clients are, and what questions they might ask you. In addition, we give you a list of books called the Coach's Bookshelf and ask you to select ten books that you have not previously read.
