Coaching Roundtable

A Day of Integral Coaching

Coaching Roundtables give you your own experience of Integral Coaching. From this experience, you will:

  • be able to tell if Integral Coaching is a good fit for you.
  • learn new methods for working with yourself and clients.
  • meet the community of students and graduates of New Ventures West.

Next Roundtable

Date: March 10, 2012
Location: San Francisco
Leader: James Flaherty

Topic of the Day: Finding and Living our Destiny

Destiny is an old-fashioned word outside of the usual way we understand our life. It aptly evokes however, by speaking directly to our heart, the precious uniqueness of each human life. Integral Coaching responds and adapts to each person so that she/he can unfold into someone who lives a meaningful contributory life that embodies and expresses a particular gift, view, and sensibility. Acting in this way, coherent with our self, we draw on the strength and clarity of knowing our destiny, which integrates otherwise random events and grounds us in authenticity and nobility.

Through short talks, reflective exercises, poetry, conversations and music at our upcoming San Francisco Roundtable, we intend to bring about the following outcomes for participants:

  • You have greater clarity about what your life really could be about, beyond individual success.
  • You learn methods for reinterpreting events in your life so that they cohere into a meaningful building of strength and insight.
  • You experience and begin to more joyfully live from your own unique identity as one who has a calling / a destiny.

Flow of the Day

The day begins with an interactive presentation by James Flaherty on the work of Integral Coaching, during which you are welcome (and encouraged) to participate with questions and discussion. You will interact with other participants, sharing your thoughts and impressions about Integral Coaching. At the end of the morning session, James will give a thirty-minute coaching demonstration, working with someone from the audience (perhaps you’ll want to volunteer to be coached!).

After the lunch break, New Ventures West graduates will join the group as James leads an enlivening exploration on the special topic of the day. You'll learn new things about yourself and coaching through group exercises and conversation, and you'll have the opportunity to talk to graduates and staff about our variety of coaching courses.
