Marie Therese Tong is the Principal of Being & Becoming with 18 years of global corporate experience in sales, marketing and strategic planning in the U.S. and Asia. She also brings a decade of expertise as a coach, organizational consultant and culture-change leader working with senior leaders and teams in business, education and non-profits.
Therese believes that in each of us lie strong desires to serve and to inspire others. These are matched in intensity only by our longing to be happy and to live authentically. Inspirational leadership springs from all of these. It is a product not only of what we do but who we are. Therese is a certified Integral Coach® through New Ventures West. She trained in Open Systems Theory with Dr. Merrelyn Emery and Appreciative Inquiry with Dr. Anita Sanchez. Therese mentors coaches-in-training and serves on coaching certification panels for NVW, evaluating trainees for final accreditation.
Therese is a global citizen fluent in five languages. A native Singaporean, she has lived, worked and volunteered in Asia and the U.S. and traveled extensively in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. Her work within a multicultural workforce coupled with her upbringing and travel have cultivated in her a deep cultural sensitivity and awareness.
